We spent a few days with our retired rescue Greyhounds Valerie and Michael, in the Eastern Cairngorms enjoying winter sunshine, a perfect Airbnb bothy and country walks in beautiful forests.

  • We climbed the small hill of Tom’s Cairn near Finzean (just outside the boundary of the National Park). A 1-1.5 hour round trip.
  • Glen Tanar – Lots of different signposted walks available. Contact the Ranger service there for more information.
